Milla Jovovich as action-heroin Alice in Resident Evil – Afterlife (2010).
As half-elven Arwen, Liv Tyler truly looked like she belonged to another world. Lord of the Rings – triology (2001-2003). I love this dress, blue velvet is very royal, perfect for a elv-princess.

Tuesday, so here are 10 of my favourite movie costumes. My no 1 this week is the third picture, the white dress that Sadie Frost wore in Bram Stoker´s Dracula. I also like Brooke Shields dress from The blue lagoon and I have to say, Jessica Rabbit looks stunning in red, as she always does.
Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde (2001 + 2003).
Michelle Pfeiffer´s character Elvira had the best wardrobe ever in Martin Scorsese´s Scarface (1983).
Sadie Frost in Bram Stoker´s Dracula (1992).
Pamela Anderson in her iconic bathing suit in Baywatch (TV).
Catherine Deneuve in Belle de Jour. This movie is incredibly stylish.
Natalie Portman in Star Wars. Amazing costumes!
Olivia De Havilland in The Heiress (1949).
Brooke Shields in The Blue Lagoon (1980).
Jessica Rabbit in Who framed Roger Rabbit?
Malin Åkerman looks good in latex in Watchmen (2009). The outfit looks painted on Åkerman, because it was sawn directly on her body.

Carey Mulligan in An Education (2009).
Deborah Kerr in The King and I (1956).
Kate Capshaw in Indiana Jones and the temple of doom (1984).
Charlize Theron in a sci-fi action-outfit in Aeox Fleux.

Tuesday and that means 10 favourite movie costumes! My no 1 this week is the black and white picture with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire (no 3). I love that incredibly timeless dress.
Julia Roberts in Charlie Wilson´s war (2007).
Raquel Welch in a truly iconic outfit in One million years BC (1966). This picture was sold as a poster, and it eventually became the most popular poster that decade.
Ginger Rogers with Fred Astaire in Swing Time?
Kelly LeBrock in a The woman in red (1984).
Gong Li and Yun-Fat Chow in Curse of the golden flower (2006).
Oliwia Dabrowska in Schindler´s list (1993).
Milla Jovovich in Gaultier´s design in The fifth element (1997).

10 Movie Costumes
It´s Tuesday, so here are another 10 great movie costumes. It´s difficult to pick a winner, but I think I´ll go with the Catwoman-suit. It´s latex for Christ sake.
Ursula Andress as Honey Ryder. Ursula was the first Bond-girl, starring in Dr No with Sean Connery as the first James Bond. This look is truly iconic (1962).
Sharon Stone as her character Ginger, in her famous gold sequined dress. Apparently it scratched her skin as well as it was very heavy to wear. Here with Casino co-star Robert De Niro (1995).
Larisa Oleynik in 10 things I hate about you (1999). In this picture she´s explaining her pink tulle prom dress to her strict dad.
Rita Hayworth in her famous dress in Gilda (1946).
Grace Kelly with co-star James Stewart in Rear Window (1954). She is wearing her green famous 2-piece suit, very similar to the suit Tippi Hedren wore in The Birds a few years later. Edith Head designed them both, as she designed almost all of Hitchcock´s movie costumes as well as some of the actresses private dresses. For example, she designed both Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn´s Oscar dresses.
If you grew up in the 1980´s you will certainly remember this one. Kelly LeBrock plays two teenagers fantasy-woman in Weird Science (1985). Former supermodel LeBrock later married Steven Seagal (and divorced him).
Lily Collins in an adorable fairytale-dress, as Snow White in Mirror Mirror (2012). Unnecessary fact: Did you know that she is the daughter of Genesis´ front-singer Phil Collins?
Creepy Glenn Close in her white creepy dress in super-creepy Fatal Attraction (1988).
Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse in The Band Wagon (1953). Her transparent light blue dress is absolutely wonderful.
Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns (1992). Just the coolest Catwoman ever.
10 Movie Costumes
This is 10 of my favourite movie costumes. That´s going to be my new thing, 10 movie costumes every Tuesday. I have got a lot of them saved on my computer, so I can do this for years. It´s mostly dresses, but I like action costumes as well. Of these 10, I have several all time favourites, like Marilyns white superfamous dress, Julia Roberts red gown and both Talisa Soto and Milla Jovovich action-outfits.
Cher in Mermaids (1990). Lasse Hallström was supposed to direct Mermaids, but he and Cher wouldn’t get along. So she got the studio to fire him and instead Richard Benjamin was hired. It turned out to be a great movie but I´m certain I would have loved Hallströms Mermaids as well.
Ginger Rogers in Dreamboat (1952). This is the same dress Marilyn Monroe later made famous in photographs taken by Gene Kornman. Monroe and Rogers were good friends and when Monroe visited the set of Dreamboat she saw the dress and asked Rogers if she could borrow it.
Talisa Soto in Vampirella (1997). This is funny, it´s even haha-funny. And so cool. I love Talisa Soto!
Jennifer Connelly in Labyrinth (1986). I went to the movies to see this one. I had no idea who David Bowie was and I didn´t get why he had to ruin the movie by singing, but I sure loved this dress.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Death Proof (2007). I really like this bright yellow cheerleader uniform. In this Tarantino movie Winstead plays an actress who´s character is a cheerleader.
Marilyn Monroe in Seven Year Itch (1955). This must be the most famous dress in the history of moving pictures.
Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman (1990). I remember the summer I saw this one. I was sixteen and I thought this was the best movie I had ever seen. Ever! Except from Dirty Dancing and Indiana Jones. And Top Gun. I really liked Weird Science and Can´t Buy Me Love as well. I forgot Flashdance and Girls just want to have fun, I loved those dance-flicks. I still do!
Milla Jovovich in Resident Evil – Extinction (2007). Jovovich and her business partner Carmen Hawk had at the time a fashion brand (Jovovich-Hawk) and together they designed this outfit for the third Resident Evil movie.
Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany´s (1961). There are many famous outfits from this movie but this pink cocktail-dress and pink silk coat, is not one you see often.
Elizabeth Banks in The Hunger Games (2012). Effie is wearing a yellow dress from Alexander McQueen´s spring/summer 2011 collection. The dress is known as The Butterfly Dress, how cool is that, a dress with a name!
